St. PIETRO’s CHURCH OF PORTOVENERE

The grey stone church with white marble inlays dates back from the 11th century and is one of

the world’s most desired wedding locations, which is why those interested need to reserve the

church at least one year beforehand. This is not surprising for those who have visited the

church – it is rather isolated, extremely romantic and it provides a 360 degrees view of one of

the most beautiful places in the world, the Portovenere Gulf, the gate to the Cinque Terre. Next

to it, the Byron Grotto with its deep, blue waters, where Lord Byron used to come to meditate,

represents the perfect landscape for unforgettable and unique photographs.
